Creative Earth Eco Fest: Making change through photography and art

Join for the first ever Creative Earth Eco Fest at Cliffe Castle, Keighley, hosted by Photo Hub North and Impressions Gallery. This exciting event is packed with hands-on activities, great food, and entertainment for people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy.

The festival has a variety of creative activities and artistic workshops to take part in:

  • A special eco-darkroom where participants can produce their own photogram.
  • Learning how to make unique cyanotypes and anthotypes at plant-based photography workshops.
  • Creating artwork from natural found objects.
  • Making ‘one off’ flags using natural dyes and leaf printing.
  • Re-loving your family photographs in a zine making workshop with local artist Jean McEwan.
  • Hand decorating with Henna Art.

You’ll also be able to visit a pop-up outdoor gallery showcasing sustainable works by local and national photographers. In the Wellbeing Zone, experience Tai Chi, family outdoor play with Get Out More CIC, and forest bathing.

Hillside Community Centre will be bringing their innovating Welcome Cafe to the festival with healthy zero waste food available to buy. You’ll also have the opportunity to take part in quirky ‘chai & chats’ stall and share your ideas and eco-friendly hacks, over a nice cup of chai.

Throughout the day, there will be environmental talks, seed swapping, a pedal cycle cinema, and live music!

It is encourages to travel to the festival on foot, bike, or public transport. Keighely train station is a 20 minute walk away and the bus station is 15 minutes. Free return electric buses provided by TransDev will run throughout the day from the bus station.
