Carbon Literacy ‘Train the Trainer’ with SAIL

Are you ready to be an agent of change in the cultural and creative sector? SAIL invites you to step into the future with our bespoke Carbon Literacy Train the Trainer Course.

What is Train the Trainer?

A train the trainer’s course is for those who have already completed Carbon Literacy training, are certified Carbon Literate and would like to teach their own Carbon Literacy course to share the knowledge further in their workplace, community or networks.

This practical Train the Trainers course will equip you to deliver Carbon Literacy training for the creative and cultural sector.

Key Learning Outcomes in Our Training:

  • Build confidence explaining key concepts and communicating the science in clear and accessible ways
  • How to adapt Carbon Literacy content to suit your audience
  • Understanding the key skills of an effective trainer, including preparation, active listening, managing challenging behaviour, time management and overcoming anxiety
  • Become fully aware of the Carbon Literacy accreditation and certification processes

Who are SAIL?

SAIL helps the creative and cultural industries take real, practical steps toward sustainability, from frontline training to strategic consultancy, sector-wide collaboration, and resource sharing. We were founded by arts professionals who understand the unique challenges of the sector. Since 2018, we’ve supported organisations of all sizes to reduce emissions, cut waste, embed circular practices, and build long-term resilience, while also growing a membership network that connects hundreds of organisations across Yorkshire and beyond.

We were one of the first organisations in the creative and culture sector to deliver carbon literacy training and have now trained hundreds of industry professionals. Our programme is tailored to the creative and culture sectors so that those who participate can better understand how sustainability can be embedded into their organisation and context.

Accessibility is key, and we provide live transcriptions and support for all learning needs. Please contact us at [email protected] to discuss.
