SAIL is seeking an engaged and energised individual to join our Board as Treasurer. This is a voluntary, non-executive role responsible for overseeing SAIL’s financial health and governance.
Responsibilities include:
- Strategic oversight of SAIL’s financial planning and reporting
- Oversight and guidance on budgets, management accounts, and annual financial statements
- Ensuring compliance and financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Advising the board on financial implications of strategic and operational decisions
- Liaising with the external accountants and supporting the internal team on financial matters
Other expectations:
- Attend quarterly board meetings
- Be an advocate for SAIL and it’s missions
- Fulfil the legal duties of a company director, including registration with Companies House and adherence to SAIL’s articles of association
Who we’re looking for:
- Experience in financial management, accounting, or charity finance
- Understanding of financial compliance and risk management
- Commitment to environmental sustainability and the creative and cultural sectors
